The National Architectural Strategy (NAS)

The National Architectural Strategy (NAS) is the first official document that defines architectural policy in the Republic of Serbia. Its goal is to improve the quality of architecture and the built environment, thereby enhancing the quality of life for all citizens. The strategy highlights the importance of the architectural profession and practice, as well as the need to raise public awareness about the significance of the spaces we inhabit.

NAS recognizes architecture as a key component of national culture and identity—one that shapes the individual's relationship with cultural heritage, space, and the environment. The document lays the foundation for a long-term process of building a shared platform and national consensus on the value of quality architecture and a culture of building, with the aim of fostering both social and economic development.

As part of this strategy, our project “Classroom of the Future” has been featured. The project aims to create a modern, stimulating, and flexible educational environment tailored to the needs of contemporary society and future generations of students.

3rd Place on BALKAN ARCHITECTURAL BIENNALE

We are proud to share that our project, "Classroom of the Future," has been awarded 3rd place in the Interior Design category at this year’s Balkan Architectural Biennale!

This recognition reflects our commitment to innovation in educational spaces. The "Classroom of the Future" was born from the need to transform traditional learning environments into flexible, inspiring, and tech-enabled spaces that meet the evolving needs of today’s students and educators.

THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE GALLERY OF MODERN ART IN SMEDEREVSKA PALANKA

The primal idea for the adaptation of the Gallery of Modern Art was to provide visitors and artists a dynamic and perpetually original character of the exhibition space, which would be in range among contemporary exhibition practice.⁠⠀

How the exhibited value of the gallery is established, above all, reflects in the ability to create different spatial settings with the help of transitioning walls, thus adapting to different art formats.

BAB 2020 - GRAND PRIX

After the award of the Belgrade Salon of Architecture, Gušić Architecture won the Balkan Biennale Grand Prix in the category of Interior Design at the 4th Balkan Architectural Biennale.

To provide a new glow to the rich cultural heritage, the initial idea during the reconstruction was to create a space that, above all, enriches and expands the program content of the Museum.

With that in mind, including the use of reduced geometry and new technological solutions, a completely new character was given to the exhibition space, raising it to the standards of worthy world institutions of cultural significance.

INTERIOR PROJECT OF THE MUSEUM OF THE INITIATIVE IN SMEDEREVO PALANKA

The realized work of the Museum's interior won an award in the Interior category at the recently opened exhibition of the 41st Salon of Architecture, which was awarded to the author Aleksandar Gušić.

With this intervention, after 30 years, the Museum in Smederevska Palanka was renovated.

The explanation of the jury states: "A reduced and functional solution, which is a minimalist way expresses the architectural quality of the existing space and creates ideal conditions for the exhibition of museum artifacts."

NATIONAL MUSEUM SMEDEREVSKA PALANKA

On Friday, January 18, 2019, at 7 pm, the National Museum was opened in Smederevska Palanka.

We use this opportunity to thank the National Museum for its trust and excellent cooperation and communication during the very process of realization of this project, which lasted almost a year. After more than 30 years, Smederevska Palanka gets, not only a new place for cultural and artistic events but also a space that is designed in the spirit of the contemporary needs of exhibition.

After successful realization of the project for the National Museum in Smederevska Palanka funded by the Ministry of Culture and Information "Cities in Focus" (2018), we invite you on the opening of the new space and the exhibition "Still Life from the National Museum collection in Smederevska Palanka" on Friday, January 18, year, beginning at 7pm.

The exhibition will be officially opened by Danijela Vanušić, Assistant Minister of Culture and Information in charge of the protection of cultural heritage.
